Since development of the original myHusky.ca concept in 2007, the number of online contests, promotions and coupons had grown exponentially. The previous website structure was geared towards supporting seasonal contests, 1 in the winter, and 1 in the summer. The new MyHusky.ca needed to expand support to have multiple contests and promotions running at the same time, while still making it easy for customers to participate with a single sign-in process. The website now also needed a logo to be identified along side other in-store promotional programs.
In addition to developing a new layout and brand for MyHusky.ca, Impello worked with the Retail Marketing division leads to develop a revised customer profile management system to allow people to create one profile, and associate that contact information with multiple contest entries. A contest deployment and management system was developed to automate several of the database development steps previously required to initiate a new contest and begin accepting entries.
An e-newsletter template and delivery system was also developed, in concert on on-line coupons. Following registration for a contest, customers can now subscribe to an online newsletter, where they receive direct links to online coupons which may be redeemed at any retail location accross canada.
MyHusky.ca now allows over 200,000 customers to manager their contact information directly with Husky, either for the purpose of receiving e-coupons or to participate in other promotional activities.
